Allergy

Allergies are very common in children and affect more than a quarter of people in the UK within their lifetime. An allergy is a response from the body’s immune system as it identifies a usually harmless substances as a ‘threat’ and produces a response. This response could be mild such as itching or in more severe cases it can cause anaphylaxis, a severe and potentially life-threatening reaction.
